A Grand Day Out

A Grand Day Out is a trip out that doesn't fit into any of the other groups' activities. It has become a regular group – an informal day outing to some easily accessible regional attraction.

The trips are open to all members to take part in.

The first outing was a trip on the Settle to Carlisle railway. We have also visited the Barbara Hepworth Museum in Wakefield, The Deep in Hull, Morecambe, and the Yorkshire rhubarb triangle, among other places.

Pateley Bridge

Pateley Bridge is in the Britain in Bloom competition, to be judged at the end of July. We hope to see the displays. Also to see – the tidied up Grotto and part of the Panaramic View (steps up, then down), the Meadow. The road is steep down, bring your sticks, lunch, drink.

Please meet at Leeds Bus Station for the 36 at 10.20 (Moortown 10.36) to go to Harrogate, then bus 24 to go to Pateley Bridge at 11.30, arrive at 12.23. Return 14.30 (arrive 15.25), 16.00 (17.00).
